Who we are
Al-Magharibia Foundation was established in June 2022 as a Libyan civil society organisation focused on supporting democratic transition and enhancing public policy reform. The Foundation specialises in public administration, public policy, and democratic transition, drawing on a team with over ten years of combined experience in these fields.
Our Journey
The Foundation began with a clear vision to strengthen good governance and democratic practice through evidence-based methodologies.

Due to legal and regulatory uncertainty governing civil society organisations in Libya, the Foundation temporarily froze its activities — while still running an introductory public policy training session.
We resume our journey with energy and enthusiasm to contribute effectively to supporting democratic transition and improving governance in Libya.
